what i've been up to

hello folks,

I've recorded another couple of pieces of music. The first one is a ballad, called 'seeds of doubt' the second is an instrumental called 'angels dance' after my daughter.

I really happy with them & this bloke 'phill' Say's that they are the best things that I've ever done!

should have it up on me blog in the near future so you can have a listen.

Also done a collaboration with fellow musician Phill Dooley.

That's about it

Thanks

I've got to go and get a hoover part now! such is domestic life!

second post

hello,

i've added some more tunes to my blog - have a listen!

i've been working a lot on open tunings (this is standard tuning on a guitar, this is when you tune your guitar to an open chord so that it plays for example a G chord without having to put any of your fingers on the fret!)

some blues guitarists use mostly open E chords especially with slide (bottle neck) but the strings can snap easily, so watch it if you have a go!

I've written another couple of songs, ones called 'a Friday in October' and ' The light in your eye's' which are both love songs, i suppose!

i spoke to an old friend not long ago who i'd known as a youth and then lost touch. i met him again through circumstance and he got me back into playing the guitar again.

He' s been over to Canada to do a couple of gigs, which were sell out's! and i've just found his email address on his website and asked him to have a look at my blog! so if you are now hello!

thats it for now

that'll do

First Post

my musical influences are jazz guitarists like Django Rhinheardt, Barny Kessel but i have a wide range of tastes in music, including folk rock The Eagles, Bob Dylan, Bert Jansch, The Beatles & The late great Frank Sinartra.

I think that it is good to be a free thinker on all things not just music and art!
